Dwell on Design

As we mentioned in a previous post, CoolKidsCompany had ninetonine on display at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York City.

We received a lot of positive feedback from many angles: press, retailers and interior designers!

Now, we’re so proud to announce that we’ll be on display once again by CoolKidsCompany at the Dwell on Design event in Los Angeles!!

Running from June 22-24, Dwell on Design is the West Coast’s largest design event. The event features over 350 exhibitors, bringing together the best and brightest products, services and though leaders in modern design.

ninetonine will be displayed in the Modern Family section, so if you are in the West Coast during this time, please stop by the Los Angeles Convention center on 1201 South Figueroa Street, and see our designs!

Dad is Geek

Many of the websites and blogs that we post about have a common themes: babies and moms. Some of the most reliable sites for advice and help are those written for moms, by moms. Why place your trust in something that hasn’t been tried and tested?

But what about the dads?? Don’t worry all you dads our there , we haven’t forgotten about you!!

Moms and Dads obviously have a different way of thinking about things, and get excited about different types of products. This is why its important to have websites like Dad is Geek out there!

 

DAD IS GEEK

Dad is Geek is the ‘alter-ego’ of the e-magazine Mum is Geek, which is a place for both dads and moms to find information and tips about decoration, children’s fashion, family outings and activities. They also have free giveaways with many different brands and creators!

What makes Dad is Geek different is that it targets more of a male audience. While they do talk about products that we see on many website, you will immediately notice that the recommendations are peppered with superheroes and sneakers! Additionally, they have a special section for their recommendations of apps and other high tech products that dads and kids might enjoy, as well as tips for cultural excursions and free giveaways!

Our favorite part about Dad is Geek is their blogroll….which links to other blogs written by dads as well! Its always refreshing to see the different points of wisdom coming from the other side!

Green is the New Green

It is no secret that we here at ninetonine make it a point to be as environmentally conscious as possible, which is why we created the Tree for a Cot initiative, and use only wood from sustainable forests. We also fully support other companies who share our eco-friendly view, such as Green Lullaby!

ninetonine in the USA!

This week is very exciting for us at ninetonine because of the ICFF (International Contemporary Furniture Fair) in New York City!!

For those of you who haven’t heard of it, the ICFF is North America’s premier showcase for contemporary design, and more than 500 exhibitors from around the globe will display contemporary furniture, materials, accessories, textiles, etc!

The reason this is so exciting for us is that this is our first year EVER to be featured in the ICFF!! The U.S. distributor CoolKidsCompany will be giving ninetonine’s official US introduction!

So if you happen to be in New York this week, please stop by the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center (11th Ave at 38th St) and check us out at Booth 2255!

Sweet Caroline

We would like everyone to meet Caroline Gomez!

Caroline Gomez is a French artist who designs beautiful and simple furniture and small items. Her products aren’t necessarily for children, but their versatility allows them to be used in almost any room of the house.

The clean and simple lines of the designs, together with the natural lightness of the wood make the furniture such pleasant additions to the room!

In addition to furniture and other smaller products, Caroline also designs textiles, like the tent above, and takes beautiful photographs.
