Its All About the Zebra

When the time comes to choose a cot for your baby, there are several factors that you need to take into consideration. Safety, obviously, is highest on the list, but aesthetic value shouldn’t be too far behind. You obviously don’t want to spend money on something that you absolutely cannot stand to look at!

Other important factors for us are longevity and sustainability. We don’t want people to have to invest in a cot that will be useless to them several months later, as babies grow so fast (too fast!!). Our efforts to be an environmentally conscious company have driven us to use wood only from sustainable forests, in addition to our Tree for a Cot campaign, wherein for every cot or changer sold, we plant a tree in the name of the child for whom it was bought.

With all of these components in mind, our Zebra Cots were born.

Our Zebra_02 cot is designed with off-set cot bars, or Zebra stripes, which give the cot less of a trapped-behind-bars feeling.

The ‘head’ of the Zebra serves as both a handle and a handy storage space for bottles, nappies, or anything else you might want to keep close at hand.

On the other end, the Zebra’s ‘tail’ is a set of wheels for easy maneuverability, as well as a practical shelf for added storage.

The Zebra_02 comes with a 2 height adjustable mattress base, and is made of solid oak, beech plywood, pine and lacquered MDF. It also has a conversion kit to transform it into a daybed sofa!

Following the Zebra_02, we have the Zebra Basic Cot. This is a slightly simpler version of the Zebra_02, and its perfect for those who are slightly tight on space (and maybe on budget as well!).

Although the Zebra Basic lacks the ‘head’ and ‘tail’ of the Zebra_02, it still has the trademark asymmetrical cotbars and legs. It also has a 2 height adjustable mattress base, and the conversion kit allows you to easily transform it onto a beautiful daybed sofa!

We now offer the Zebra Basic in cotbed size!
