‘Educreation’: ninetonine in the Lódz Design Festival
This years marks the 6th annual Lódz Design Festival in Lódz, Poland, and we are so proud to be a part of it!
The design festival, which is now open until the 28th of October, is a place to be inspired, to meet people and designers, and to discover the latest design trends.
Every year the festival has a theme to which its exhibitions are structured, and past themes include CHANGE and AMAZING LIFE. The theme of the festival this year is AWARENESS.

AWARENESS is meant to emphasize the importance of awareness in design, and forces ourselves to ask what the role of both the design and the designer is. What can design do? How can it change? Design is both a science and an art, and by being aware, we are able to “look back and move forward, and above all to understand that design never exists out of context – human, historical, geographical, social”.
We wholeheartedly agree with the importance of awareness, and so are more than happy to be a part of the ‘Educreation’ event.
Educreation gives parents the opportunity to bring their children to these workshops and design festivals, and allows the children to be introduced to design furniture at an early age.
There are various activities, workshops and playrooms within Educreation, all of which are aimed at developing sensitivity to aesthetics and creativity in young children.
This is definitely a festival not worth missing!
